Hapn is for adults only. Everyone on the platform is 18 or over. We verify your date of birth at sign-up, so you can connect with confidence that you are among peers. It is the first promise we make to every member.

If something feels off, act on it. You can report or block any user or Hub directly from their profile with no hoops to jump through. Once blocked, that person cannot see your profile, your Hubs, or contact you in any way.

Every report is reviewed by a real person on the Hapn team. Your report does not just protect you. It helps keep the community safe for the next person too.

Hapn exists to create genuine connections between travelers. The following behaviors are incompatible with that mission and may result in permanent account removal:

• Harassment or discrimination — Targeting someone based on nationality, gender, religion, or identity
• Impersonation or fake profiles — Misrepresenting who you are to deceive others
• Commercial solicitation — Promoting products, services, or pyramid schemes
• Inappropriate content — Sending sexual, violent, or hateful messages or images
• Suspicious off-platform requests — Sharing suspicious links or asking for money

Everything Hapn collects is handled under our Privacy Policy. What other users see, such as your display name, profile photo, and bio, is entirely up to you. You decide what to share, and you can change it any time. Nothing is ever exposed without your consent.

Tips from experienced Hapn members for first-time meetups:

• ✓Meet for the first time in a busy public spot, such as a cafe, station, or plaza
• ✓Hold off on sharing personal contact details until you have built some trust
• ✓Never feel pressured to share money or personal information
• ✓Trust your gut. If something feels wrong, use report and block without hesitation
